Chalet Rental In The French Alps

The Chalet is very easy to get to all year round, with all roads being cleared of snow early each morning as the village lies on the main tributary from Geneva to the resorts of Morzine-Avoriaz and Les Gets. The road leading to the chalet is also cleared regularly, and is flat, with a 0 gradient entry to the chalet parking and garage.

There are many options to get to the chalet, but internationally the easiest is probably to fly into Geneva airport, and then either hire a car or arrange for a transfer to the chalet, which is a lovely drive along Lake Geneva, and then up the Vallee D'Aulps.

All carriers fly into Geneva, the most popular with UK travelers being BA, Swiss Air or Easy Jet.

We believe the best option to give you the most flexibility during your stay is to hire a car from the airport, or bring your own!

For car rentals, we have found Sixt to be fantastic value in both summer and winter, although other options are Hertz, Avis, Enterprise and others. Please ensure you check with your car rental provider which part of Geneva Airport your car is booked from, and the Swiss and French sectors are very different - both easy to find, but opposite ends of Geneva Airport!

The Chalet lies only half a kilometer above the D902 which runs from Lake Geneva up to Morzine and onto Les Gets. If coming from the Airport, you take the D1005 along the Lake until Thonon, where you then join the D902 until Le Biot. A fun drive in winter or summer, that is only 58 kilometers door to door.

With Geneva so close, access by car from the UK is also an easy option, and saves renting a car when in the area. The ports of northern France are about 8 hours from the Chalet.

To plan your route, simply use Le Biot for navigation systems as the chalet is only 300m from the center.

Many transfers are available into Morzine, either by bus, or specialized transfer companies.

We are fortunate to have neighbors that offer airports transfers all year, and we would be happy to make arrangements for your visit, or you can contact David and Sarah yourself at Rolling Road Transfers. The advantage of a personal transfer is that this will be to the door of the chalet, not just to the resort. Private transfers are also offered.
